For healthy weight loss in the quickest possible time, Callum believes it is best to program activity that you are inefficient at.

If you haven’t exercised for a while and you decide to start running to trim down and tone up, at first you will gain results as you are like a V8 using up lots of fuel ( i.e. fat) to complete your run.

Unfortunately our body’s natural reaction to this type of exercise is to become better at running. It does this by becoming more efficient at the movement and use of energy so you use less and less energy to complete the same run. After a few runs you will be like a 1.3 Toyota Starlet using lots less fuel to complete the same distance.

This leads to decreased results or means you need to continually increase your distance to keep achieving the same outcome. In our time pressured world this is not always an option.

Callum will prescribe you a personalized workout that challenges your cardiovascular system and your neural system to get max benefits from the amount of time you can commit to training each week.
